How to Fulfill with Amazon

Selling on Amazon Through Airhouse

When working with Airhouse there are two main ways to fulfill orders with Amazon, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) or Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM).

Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA)

When you fulfill with FBA, Airhouse will ship your products to Amazon fulfillment centers, and Amazon will in turn ship out orders to your end customers. Companies may choose to do this because they see the benefit of offering Prime shipping as a selling point.

With this method, you must manually create an order in Airhouse so that Airhouse can ship the product to be fulfilled by Amazon.

FBA with Airhouse

Shipping orders for FBA within Airhouse is a quick process.

  1. Create a manual order in Airhouse and leave a note detailing that this is an FBA order
  2. Simply click "Create Order," add product, recipient details, and the note "Amazon FBA order."

When you add the note, as depicted in the screenshot below, this flags to our team to treat this order with special care.

  3. Email your Account Manager any case or shipping labels provided by Amazon.

Always be sure to add in a note explaining that this is an "Amazon FBA order" ahead of submitting. This lets our team know how to appropriately handle this order.

Fulfilled By Merchant (FBM)

When you fulfill with FBM, Amazon orders are processed and shipped by Airhouse to your end customers via Shopify.

Please note that per our standard warehouse SLAs, any order submitted after 11:00 AM will be fulfilled by Airhouse the following business day.

FBM with Airhouse

To enable selling via FBM, fulfillment can be automated in Airhouse through the Shopify app, Amazon by Codisto.

After installing the app, sync your product listings on Amazon so that the correct SKUs are mapped appropriately with Shopify. Otherwise, when orders come into Shopify, Airhouse will not be able to match SKUs appropriately, and this may cause fulfillment errors.

You also will need to set up shipping methods in the app. Set up the shipping methods to match what you have set up within Shopify for your Airhouse location. If you need help setting up shipping methods, or verifying them ahead of receiving orders, please reach out to your Account Manager.

Due to Amazon's SLAs we do not recommend selling products when they are out of stock. This can affect your Amazon store's rating.

Products that are synced properly will have an "Active" or "Ready to List" status. If products are in any status other than those two, the SKUs are not appropriately synced and there can be fulfillment issues. Please reach out to your Account Manager if you have issues mapping your SKUs.
